Alan Dunn

When it came time to cast a host for Mark Burnett’s new TNT television show Wedding Day, Alan was a perfect fit!

His previous experience as a wedding planner on TLC ‘s for Better or For Worse –where he helped orchestrate spectacular weddings on a shoestring budget-as well as countless guest appearances on television and radio shows as well as his contributions to style, entertaining, and food magazines are just part of a stellar career in food and event planning.

Alan Dunn’s journey into the world of event planning began with extensive travels in Asia and Europe, where he gained a passion for exotic cuisines and dining customs. When he returned from abroad, he began a New York event planning and catering company called Fraiche Events. From there he moved to the West Coast, where he became special events/food and beverage director for Chateau Marmont Hotel, lending his special touch to events for Hollywood’s elite. Recognizing the demand for his services had outgrown his role at the Chateau, he left to start his own exclusive Los Angeles based event planning and catering company, Trés LA.

Trés LA has become recognized as the go-to company for clients looking for sophisticated events that create a unique blend of refined ambiance, sensational cuisine, and impeccable service. Alan has recruited his talent from some of the country’s most recognizable restaurants and hotels. He considers his chefs artists and he encourages them to create using a palette of only the finest ingredients and regionally sourced produce. His servers are not only stylish and gracious but specifically trained in formal dining etiquette so they never miss a detail.
He even has a special VIP team with unique expertise in handling the needs of Hollywood’s most exacting clients. His philosophy is simple “You provide the guests… I’ll provide the magic.”

When he’s not helping others manifest their dream events, Alan can be found enjoying his own domestic bliss with his wife Leena and their beautiful new daughter Yasmine.
