The kids start school in a week. I know that our expert says start getting the kids on the school schedule two weeks before school, but I just can’t do it. There is something so amazing about the late summer nights with the kids. Last night we had Cooper’s 1st grade teacher, her husband and baby over for dinner (to say thank you for a wonderful year last year). We ate, drank wine, got on the floor and played guitar, harmonica, xylophone, etc! Jam session with an 18 month old, 7 and 8 year old! We had a leisure dessert, looked at photos and didn’t even get the bath going until after 9pm (at least we did bathe them!). I may regret this choice of keeping the carefree summer schedule going until the last minute, but it is just so nice to fully enjoy these last nights of summer. Is anyone else doing what I’m doing or are you all getting your kids to bed on time already? Am I going to regret this?!
