How much do you think it cost a family of four to go to a Fair?
I am in Vancouver, which is absolutely gorgeous! Having said that, let’s get to the point. I took the family to the big state (not sure if I should say province!) fair! I had $200 cash and luckily my credit card. I should have known I was in for it when the parking cost $20. While we sure had an action packed 9 hours (yes, you heard me…9 hours!), it cost a fortune. Here is what we did: Dog Show (so cute), face painting (I opted for the 10 minute massage while the kids got their faces painted…best $15 of the day), pig races (yup), rides galore (this was not included in the price of admission…you had to buy an additional pass), lots of food (at least I think it was edible), a monster truck show (once again, yup!), a whole bouncy area (that for some reason cost more than the pass for all the rides), some games (why didn’t I just throw that money in the trash?!), and a few seconds of En Vogue (remember them? I used to love them…they sounded great). Okay…that is a lot….but, how much you ask????? Are you sitting down? A whopping grand total of $350. I AM NOT KIDDING. I am in shock, but not kidding. Today, we play at the park and bring sandwiches!
