I needed to see this video a lot!! Thank you for sharing your experiences!! I went to the Milestones Malibu Ranch site to look for help. I found your video on there and watched. That may end up being where I seek treatment. Thank you again for sharing!!

  4. This show really hit home with me. Having gone through some similar situations. I loved this families honesty and dedication to each other. You sensed the long journey they have gone through and they are stronger for it. I have watched the episode 4 times and I needed to reach for the tissue every time. Keep up the good work Barbara!

    Dear Barb and Danny:

I love that the end of the segment included reactions from her children, and that her husband shows his strength by mentioning his reliance on God. Truly amazing people.

I remember when I had my second child and my first was still too young for pre-school, and I felt like I could drown at any moment. I was part of a Mom’s Group, and having a community of women who understood my lows and helped pull me back up were vital, I believe, to helping me manage the stress of it all.

Parenthood involves moments of extreme emotional highs and lows. I don’t believe parenthood causes addiction, but that becoming a parent can highlight character flaws. If they aren’t managed, they can sink you.
